WILMA LUCILLE SELLERS
Wilma L. Sellers, 91, of Lexington, Missouri passed away at North Kansas City Hospital May 5, 2016. Memorial services for Mrs. Sellers will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Presbyterian Disciples Church in Lexington. Inurnment in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Visitation from 2 p.m. until service time at the church.
Wilma Hart Sellers was born May 10, 1924 in Memphis, TN, the daughter of Ceola Lenora Hart and Ethelene Grace Northup Hart. She married Joseph D. Cox September 16, 1943 in Richmond, MO. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1979. On May 30, 1981 she married Stephen Sellers in Lexington. Wilma was an Art Teacher at the Higginsville Habilitation Center for nine years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Disciples Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Lexington Garden Club.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Stephen Sellers of the home. Daughters: Sharon Laughman and husband, Lyle, Warrenton, MO and Linda Rogge and husband, Kent, Wellington. A step-son, William Sanford Sellers and wife, Rachael, Shreveport, LA. Five grandchildren: Christopher, Roderick, Konrad, Erich, and Erin. Two step-grandchildren: Serena and William. Ten great-grandchildren: Abby, Mackenzie, Amanda, Jenna, Grant, Ella, Colin, Sophia, Wyatt, and Garrett.
In addition to her first husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Florine Lanier, Lula Mae Krull, and Moneta Belcher.
