William Matthew “Matt” Lichius, 50, of Lexington, passed away August 1, 2020. Friends may call Friday, August 7, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. There will be a private family burial at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Jefferson City, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Friendless in Lexington. Matt was born November 19, 1969 in Jefferson City to William Michael Lichius and Mary Ellen Kinstler. He was Baptized and Confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jefferson City. He attended Helias Catholic High School in Jefferson City and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Independence. He worked as a consultant in the office services business for many years. Matt married Heather Mazick on June 28, 1990. He was a skilled in woodworking and enjoyed traveling, hunting, coaching his kids baseball and soccer teams and watching his daughter in cheerleading competitions. He was a fantastic cook. He loved spending time with his family and his dogs.
Matt is survived by his wife, Heather, of the home; his parents, William and Pamela Lichius of Lee’s Summit and Mary Ellen Kinstler and Bob George of Jefferson City; his children, Hannah Lichius of Lombard, Illinois and William Lichius, II of Gladstone, Missouri; brother and sister in laws, Jim and Julie Mazick of Lexington and Jeff and Kathleen Mazick of Florence, South Carolina
