Sharon Kay Haney

Sharon Kay Haney, 57, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Wednesday April 10, 2013 at home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Odessa with Reverend Terry Hodges officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the grandchildrens college fund or the charity of donors choice. Condolences for the family may be left at www.ralphojones.com. Sharon was born on September 19, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Andrew Jack and Delores Darlene (Wright) Runyon. She graduated from the Odessa High School in 1973. On October 6, 1984 she was united in marriage to Jerry Lynn Haney at the First Baptist Church of Odessa. Sharon lived life to the fullest; she liked reading, crocheting, making crafts and sewing. Sharon and Jerry loved to travel and the Caribbean was her favorite place. She loved spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband Jerry she is survived by two children, Chrystal Simpson and husband Bob of Odessa, MO and Joshua Haney of Warrensburg, MO; two grandchildren, Kaylee Simpson and Alek Simpson of Odessa, MO; two brothers, Joe Runyon and wife Anna of Odessa, MO and Randy Runyon of Odessa, MO; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Haney of Odessa, MO; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Sharon was preceded in death by a son Andrew "Andy" Warren and father-in-law, Carl Ray Haney.
