Wayne William Kanne, 96, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, 301 S. 1st St., Odessa, MO, 64076. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army or the First United Methodist Church in Odessa. Wayne was born April 5, 1921 in Odessa, Minnesota to William and Elsie (Kingsrite) Kanne. He married Lois Lorraine Wertz on September 1, 1949 in Chadron, Nebraska. Wayne served in the Navy. He was a lifelong farmer and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include; his wife, Lois, of the home; sons, Daniel Kanne of Lincoln, Nebraska, David Kanne of Dallas, Texas, Douglas Kanne of Rockford, Illinois, Dwayne Kanne of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one daughter, Debra McGhee of Overland Park, Kansas; and 15 grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Diane Kapsh, and his brother, Orval Kanne.
