Warren Banks was born July 27, 1943 to Dora (Stark) and Alex Banks in West Blocton, Alabama. He was the fourth of ten siblings. He graduated from Bibb County Training School in Centerville, Alabama.
He began his walk with God and joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in West Blocton, Alabama at an early age, where his father was a deacon. He joined Second Baptist Church in Lexington, Missouri years later where he served on various committees and as a trustee.
Warren moved to Lexington, Missouri in 1963. He married Florence (Hervey) in 1966. To them two children were born, Constance (Connie) and Warren Christopher (Chris) Banks.
Warren was an avid sports fan, Lexington Minuteman supporter and talker. Warren retired from Ford Motor Company after working 29 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Dora Banks, and by his son, Chris Banks.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 52 years, Florence; his daughter, Connie (Stan) Brue; grandson, Aaron Casey; daughter in law, Marie Banks; granddaughters, Christen Banks and Lauryn Banks; brothers, Ervin (Johnnie Mary) Banks, Erskine (Tommie) Banks, Matthew (Cassandra) Banks, Raymond (Sharon) Banks; sisters, Marva Bolden, Joanne Anderson, Unita (Matthew) Busby, Shirley Riddle and Peggy (Vincent) Wheeler; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Funeral Service will be Friday, July 19, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Second Baptist Church, Lexington. Visitation will also be at the church on Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Second Baptist Church. Memories and condolences may be left at
