Norma Jean Sich

Norma Jean Sich, 85, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Odessa. Funeral Services will be at 10:00a.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524, with Reverend Larry Neil and Warren Hunting officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Calvary Baptist Church in Odessa. Condolences for the family may be left at www.ralphojones.com. Norma was born on September 30, 1927 in Springfield, Illinois to Alfred and Margaret (Barneman) Watkins. She was married to Edward John Sich for 67 wonderful years who survives of the home. Prior to moving to Odessa Norma and Edward lived in Youngstown, Ohio for over 50 years. She worked in the grocery business for 28 years. Norma attended Calvary Baptist for several years. She and Edward loved to travel the country, she enjoyed cooking, being with friends and attending her daughters horse shows. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Norma Jean Hunting and husband Warren, of Centerview, MO, a son, Edward George Sich of Long Beach, California; two grandchildren, Lesley Elaine Sich and Paul Hunting; four great grandchildren, Madison Giles, Jake Giles, Kala Hunting and Alexis Hunting. She was preceded in death by her parents.
