Virginia Lee Vestal

Virginia Lee (Heldenbrand) Vestal, 90, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at her home in Odessa, Missouri surrounded by her family. 

A Family Hosted Celebration of Life will take place from 11:00a.m to 1:00p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Mayview Community Building 104 Marshall Street Mayview, MO 64071. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Ignite Medical Resort St Mary’s Activities. She was born on August 4, 1934, in Winston, Missouri to Lawrence and Gladys Heldenbrand. Virginia was a graduate of Winston High School. She married Robert (Bob) Vestal on May 18, 1952. They had two children, Lawrence Paul Vestal and Vicki (Dave) Burroughs. She was kind, loving, and supportive to all who knew her. She worked with her husband on their retread tire business and took care of her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Virginia will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Virginia is survived by her children, Lawrence Paul Vestal of Colorado and Vicki (Dave) Burroughs of Odessa, Missouri. Sister in laws: Veda Heldenbrand and Darlene King. Grandchildren: David (Sammi) Burroughs of Odessa, Robert Burroughs of Odessa, Lacey Burroughs, Noah Burroughs (of Odessa), Shali Burroughs (of Odessa), Cori (Aaron) Brown (of Kansas City), Kimberly Coto (of Siler City NC). Athena Burroughs, Joseph Burroughs, and Sierra Burroughs all of Odessa 5 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob Vestal, Eleven siblings: Letha Fisher, Florence Boring, Shirley De La Cruz, Bertha Steele, Frances Mazzucca, Linda Maxine Heldenbrand, Reuben Heldenbrand, Loren Heldenbrand, Robert Heldenbrand, Kenny Heldenbrand, and Gerald Heldenbrand
