Veronica Elaine Goodloe

August 25, 1965 — April 17, 2021

Veronica Elaine Goodloe, 55, of Lexington, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021. She was surrounded by family and the love of her life-Bill Fish.

Veronica was born on August 25, 1965, in Lexington to Gail and Woody Goodloe. She attended Lexington schools and graduated from Lexington High School in 1983. She earned her bachelor's degree from Central Missouri State University. Veronica taught second, third and fourth grade for 29 years at Fort Osage School District, Lafayette County C-1 School District and Hardin Central C-3 School District. She LOVED teaching and she LOVED children. After retiring, in 2016, Veronica's love for teaching children led her to Ras Al Khaimah American Academy for Girls in the United Arab Emirates. Veronica's love for children was further evidenced by her work as a Court Appointed Social Advocate in the 15th Judicial Circuit.

Veronica's most proud accomplishment was her son, Shaun Dickmeyer, who survives of the home. Other survivors include fiancé, Bill Fish, of Kansas City, MO; parents, Gail and Bucky "Pop" Wilson of Lexington and Woody and Connie Goodloe of Kansas City; sisters Mendi Hamilton (Scott) of Lexington and Leslie Goodloe of Kansas City; and brother, Aaron Goodloe of Kansas City. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephew-Fallon and Cade Hamilton of Lexington and Makenzie Goodloe of Kansas City. Veronica's survivors also include her four-legged family--Sadie, Elvis, and the infamous "Oliver Fish."

In addition to her love for her family and all children, Veronica loved to travel. Recent travels included New Orleans, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Dominican Republic, Belize, Greece, United Kingdom and Ireland (twice). Veronica was also an avid live music fan. She loved live music -- and she loved to dance.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled on Saturday, May 8, at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church (Presbyterian Disciples Church) of Lexington, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, the family strongly requests memorial donations to the Veronica
