Vernon L. Strothman

Vernon L. Strothman, 86, of Warrensburg, MO, formerly of Lexington, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg. Vernon L. Strothman was born April 20, 1925 in Wellington, MO the son of John and Ethyl Strothman. He married Dorothy H. Jennings in 1950 in Harrison, Ark. Mr. Strothman was an airplane mechanic for TWA and an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Lexington V.F. W. Post 4052 and the American Legion. Mr. Strothman is survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, Debra Starr Strothman, his parents, and brothers, Hadley and Carl. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Chapel in Lexington, MO. Burial in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington with Military Honors by Lexington V.F.W. Post 4052. Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
