Verna Mae "Mae" (Lorenz) Arth, 90, of Oroville, California, formerly of Lexington, Missouri, passed away March 2, 2018 in Oroville, California. Memorial services will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00am at Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, Missouri. Inurnment will be in Lexington Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to your local hospice organization or your favorite charity.
Mae was born July 3, 1927 in Lexington to Fred W. and Matilda (Frei) Lorenz. She married George C. Arth in 1943. She moved to northern California in 2013 to be closer to her daughter but Lexington was always close in her heart and mind. She was known for taking long walks, a tradition she brought with her to California where she became known as "Speedy".
Mae is survived by her brother, Fred Lorenz and his wife Norma; her son, Bill Arth and his wife Sharon; her daughters, Sharon Gill and her husband Loren and Kathy Cooper; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, Albert and Calvin Lorenz, her sisters Catherine Love and Janet Luce, her grandson, Ryan Cooper and her granddaughter, Amy Gill.
