Val was born to Chris Sr. and Tammie Huffman in Lexington, Mo on September 1, 1980. As a junior in high school, Val met the love of her life, Travis Sweet. They were married March 25, 2001. Together, they had three children, Elton (19 years old), Haidon (18 years old), DaiseaMay (14 years old) and a grandson, Weston.

Val had two loves of her life - her family and Dr. Pepper. Family was life for Val. She spent her days caring for her children and grandson, giving Travis gray hair, visiting her mother and sister, or popping in for a visit with friends and family. Leaving unexpected notes for loved one’s and spoiling her grandson, nieces and nephews were her favorite past times. She became lovingly known as Crazy Aunt Val to all her nieces and nephews - loved relation or “adopted”.

Val did not ever meet a stranger. She always had a listening ear and an open heart. Eager to be of service to all those in need, Val was always eager to help, even to her own detriment. A friend could count on Val for a laugh, smile and the latest scoop. Having a knack for being in the “right place at the right time,” Val had a wild story to share at any moment. To know her was to love her.

Val is survived by her husband, Travis and three children, Elton, Haidon and DaiseaMay, and grandson, Weston of the home, her parents Chris Sr. and Tammie Huffman, brothers Christopher Jr. (wife Chelsea) and Jeremy (wife Holly) and sister Nichole Witte (husband Dustin), all of Lexington, and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Val is preceded in death by her grandparents Larry and Rebecca Huffman and Keith and Shirley Nigh, her brother in law, Shane Sweet, and her beloved dogs Chase Keith and Sadie.

The family takes comfort in knowing Val is back with her beloved GG drinking a Dr. Pepper and smoking cigarettes together.
