Valarie Evette Schwantz

Valarie Evette Schwantz, 61, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2^nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524.  A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to charity of donor’s choice.  Memories of Valarie and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.  

Valarie was born in Lexington, MO, October 15, 1961, to Mackey and Lynnette (Stricklin) Schwantz. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1979. Valarie worked in the customer service department at Price Chopper in Grain Valley. Along with spending time with family and friends, Valarie was an avid reader, loved her dogs, and had a gift for reviving plants. 

Valarie is survived by both her parents, two children, Jonathon Gregg of Kansas City,MO, Nicholas Gregg and wife Jennifer of Scurry, TX; two grandchildren, Payden Gregg and Rowdy Gregg; two brothers Brad Schwantz and Kent Schwantz; and a niece Autumn, and many relatives and friends.
