Tylenn Thomas Allen Hamilton, 38, of Olathe, Kansas passed away March 24, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2023, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Second Baptist Church, 1201 Main Street, Lexington, Missouri 64067. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm the church. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lexington, Missouri. Memories and condolences may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com. Tylenn was born October 13, 1984, in Kansas City, Missouri. He grew up in Hoffman Estates, Illinois with his parents Alfred and Tennie (Mason) Hamilton before moving to the Kansas City area.
Tylenn was an avid basketball fan and enjoyed watching the Chicago Bulls. Tylenn attended Chicago Bulls Basketball camp twice, one year with Michael Jordan and one year with B.J. Armstrong. He loved playing basketball at Hoffman Estates High School. He loved following his favorite basketball player, LeBron James. Tylenn loved traveling with the family and went to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Seattle and California. He graduated from Hickman Mills High School in 2003.
He worked as a manager for Wendy’s and most recently worked at Amazon. Tylenn visited Second Baptist Church of Lexington when visiting family.
Survivors include his parents, Alfred and Tennie Hamilton of Allen, Texas; children, Tamia Hamilton, Tylenn Hamilton, Jr. and Londyn Hamilton; fiancée, Erika Smith; brothers, Alfred “Tray” Hamilton, III (Jennifer) of Carol Stream, Illinois and Kyle Hamilton (Lena) of Wylie, Texas; grandparents, Lon Thomas “Skipper” Allen of Lexington, Bertha Hamilton of Sedalia, Missouri and Annette Williams of Kansas City, Missouri; aunt, Penny Ward-Bledsoe of Kansas City, Missouri; uncles, Emanuel Mason Jr of Lexington, Missouri and Tyrone Allen of Kansas City, Missouri; nephews, Brendan Hamilton and Kennan Johnson; and many other relatives and friends.
Tylenn was preceded in death by his biological mother, Tonia Allen and grandfather, Alfred Hamilton Sr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Second Baptist Church of Lexington.
