Timothy Alan Owen

Timothy Alan Owen, 66, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2024, at The Lux Premiere Event Space, 17000 E. US 40 Hwy, Independence, Missouri 64055. Friends and family are invited to wear their favorite sports team attire. In Lieu of flowers please contribute to the Albert A. Owen & Emma Wilson Owen Memorial Trust. All contributions go toward one or more scholarships to a graduating Maysville, MO High School Senior. The memorial trust is a 501(c)(3) private foundation, and all contributions are tax deductible. Timothy was born February 11, 1958, at the Naval Base Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida to Benjamin “Bob” J. Owen and Helen Elizabeth (Baird) Owen. He graduated from Wellington-Napoleon R-9 High School in 1976. Tim Joined the Internal Revenue Service on October 4, 1982, where he worked for over 36 years, retiring on January 3, 2019. Tim enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but his dearest loves were his four-legged family members, Duffy, Toby, Griff, and Gracie. 

Tim is survived by many family members and friends.
