THOMAS WILBURN SHAW
Thomas 'Tom" Shaw, 88, of Lexington, MO passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. (660) 259-2245. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington with Military Rites. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 4 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Tom was born August 31, 1928 in Lexington, the son of Leslie W. and Gertrude Mae Bryant Shaw. He married Betty Lou Juede on April 12, 1957 in Lexington. Tom was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, receiving the Purple Heart. He also served in the Army National Guard. Tom was retired from Armco Steel where he worked in the Maintenance Department. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge.
Tom is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home. Children: Tom Shaw and wife, Jamie, Odessa, MO, Rick Shaw and wife, Bobbie, Lathrop, MO, Waukita Johnson and husband, Russ, Odessa, MO and Penny Summerlin, and husband, Matt, of Lexington. Brothers, Jim Shaw, (Lydia), Chama, NM, Les Shaw (Louise), Lexington, Vic Shaw (Theresa), Lexington,
Sister-in-law, Debbie Shaw, wife of Fairlen Shaw who also died November 2. There are ten grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Yvonne Gale Shaw-Payne, a brother: Calvin Shaw, and sisters: Dora Mae Ford, Letha P. Herberger, and Alberta Duncan.
