Irvin Elias Smith, Jr., 55, of Odessa, Missouri passed away at home on Monday, January 7, 2013. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524 Irvin was born on May 27, 1957 in Independence, MO to Irvin Elias Smith, Sr. and Barbara Lea (Hoover) Smith. He worked for Wal-Mart in the Tire and Lube Service Center before his health declined. He loved collecting model cars and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include a son Michael Stettnisch of Oak Grove, MO; two sisters, Sandra Sue Daughtrey and husband Charles of Lone Jack, MO and Diana Lynn Murphy of Grain Valley, MO; companion, Tana Walker of Odessa, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Linda Lea Bardett.
