Thomas Clark Corbin, 80, of Waverly passed away at his home August 17, 2020. There will be a graveside service Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Dover Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Memories and condolences may be left at

Tom was born February 24, 1940 in Lexington to Clark and Hazel (Schumaker) Corbin. He graduated from Lexington High School and worked as a diesel engine mechanic for Green Quarries for 27 years. On October 9, 1998, he married Phyllis Burkhardt in Bullhead City, Arizona. Thomas was a member of the Dover Christian Church. He was also a member of the Sprint Car Driver Hall of Fame, he was inducted into C.A.R.B. in 2016 .
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, of the home; children, Tony Corbin and wife Becca of Carrollton and Necole Luce and husband Dennis of Grain Valley; grandchildren, Jessica Davenport, Jon Corbin, Olivia Corbin, Grace Luce, Theo Luce and Lily Luce; great grandchildren, Jack, Jillian, Collin and Houston; and brother Jack Corbin of Raytown. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Lasoski.
