Steven Welton Strothmann, 51, of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February, 7, 2019 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association. Steven was born on June 13, 1967 in Lexington, MO to Woodrow M. and Melba C. (Amos) Strothmann. He attended Odessa High School. Steven worked at various jobs throughout his life including hog farming but most recently had worked with the Johnson County Sheltered Workshop. He was a member of Grace Lutheran in Lexington. Steven also was a member of the FFA and 4-H club. In addition to spending time with family and friends he enjoyed weaving.
Survivors include a brother Bennett Strothmann and wife Jeanna of Odessa, MO; a nephew, Brian Bray and wife Jessica of Grain Valley, MO and a niece, Brandy Long of Odessa; four great nephews, Drake, Gavin, and Ayden Bray and Braden Woods; and 2 great nieces, Molly Hubbard and Olivia Kelley.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents.
