Steven Harold Montgomery

Steven Harold Montgomery, 66 of Lexington, Missouri formerly of Independence, Missouri passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington, Missouri.

Steven was born on December 30, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri to Harold Vernon and Carolyn Ann (Snyder) Montgomery. He attended William Chrisman High School. Steven spent most of his working life as a mechanic for Jerry’s Autobody in Riverside, Missouri. Steven had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. Along with spending time with family and friends, Steven enjoyed NASCAR and woodworking.  

Steven is survived by three children, Alicia (Corey) Hallmon of Independence, MO, Mary Catherine Eidson (Rick) of Independence, MO and Rusty Atwell of Independence, MO; four grandchildren, Brandon Hallmon, Lillian Hallmon, Brittney Eidson Martin (Zach) and Alex Eidson; two sisters, Donna (Cecil) Coulter of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Carla Porras of Lee’s Summit, MO; one brother, Gary Scott Montgomery (Debbie) of Independence, MO; and many nieces, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by one son Danny Montgomery.
