Stephen Loyd, Mullins, 60, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, May 02, 2014 at home surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday May 5, 2014 at the First Assembly of God in Odessa, MO with Pastor Danny Davis officiating, 707 S. 1st St., Odessa, MO, 64076. Visitation will be held two hours prior from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday May 5, 2014 at the Church. Burial will be in Odessa City Cemetery in Odessa, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Family. Stephen was born on September 26, 1953 in Fort Leonard Wood, MO to Harold Loyd and Susie Mae (Clinkenbeard) Mullins. He was a graduate of Cuba High School. After high school he attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO earning his Bachelors of Science degree and later his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. On May 6, 1978 he was united in marriage to Cheryl Kay (Crabtree) Mullins in Odessa, MO who survives of the home. Stephen was a member of the First Assembly of God in Odessa. He was currently employed with Securitas Securities as a Scheduling Manager. Previous to working at Securitas he was a Police Officer for Odessa and Buckner and the former Police Chief for Bates City. His hobbies include therapeutic horseback riding, farming, hunting, 4-H Horsemanship and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Stephen is survived by three sons, Jason Mullins and wife Tina of Odessa, MO, David Mullins and wife Carrie of Odessa, MO and Benjamin Mullins of Odessa, MO; ten grandchildren; one brother, Donald Mullins of Cuba, MO and a sister, Brenda Bowman and husband Marty of Wichita, Kansas; two brother in laws, Daniel Crabtree and wife Sandy of Kansas City, MO, Samuel Crabtree of Kearney, MO; a sister in law, Vicky Porter of Kearney , MO and many nieces and nephews.
