Sophie Vialle, 80, of Leawood, KS, died peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 30, 1931 in Lexington to Anastasious (Tom) and Zaharula (Lula) Psihas Kehrees. She married the love of her life Norman Vialle on November 30, 1949. She was a long-time resident of Lexington, MO, graduated from Lexington High School, class of 1949, and was proud co-owner of the Maid-Rite Drive-In for 49 years. Because of her commitment to the people of Lexington she loved to do things to help the community thrive. Over the years she enjoyed restoring the class photos for the hallways at the high school. She was a member of the Lexington United Methodist Church and served many years with the United Methodist Women, more than 15 years as president locally & at the district level. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America. She is survived by her children, daughter Kim and husband Keith Bubalo of Orlando, FL, son Norman and wife Courtney Vialle of Leawood, KS, four grandchildren, Matt and wife Laura Bubalo of Winter Park, FL, Megan Bubalo of St. Petersburg, FL, and Kate and Anna Vialle of Leawood, KS, two sisters Katena Vleisides of Kansas City, MO, and Evangeline and husband Frank Thompson of Leawood, KS, and many special nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years Norman Vialle and her beloved twin brother George Kehrees. The service will be held Wednesday September 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lexington United Methodist Church, followed by a burial service at the Memorial Park Cemetery. A lunch reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Lexington United Methodist Church, 1211 South 13 Highway, Lexington, MO 64067.
