Sondra L. Millican

Sondra L. (Becker) Millican, 71 of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at Carmel Hill Wellness and Rehabilitation in Independence, Missouri.

Sondra was born June 2, 1953, in Leavenworth, Kansas to Fred and Lois Coralee (Rowell) Becker. She attended Raytown High School. After high school, she went on to receive her associate’s degree in nursing. Sondra was united in marriage to her loving husband, Tim L. Millican on March 31, 1973, in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2019. As a dedicated homemaker, Sondra tended and cared for the home and her family. Along with spending time with family and friends, Sondra enjoyed sewing, crafting, painting, gardening and flowers, especially stargazer lilies. 

Sondra is survived by three children, Tim Millican and wife, Havilah of Lee’s Summit, MO, Todd Millican and companion, Cherry Thompson of Oak Grove, MO, and Melanie McCollum and husband, Joe of Grain Valley, MO; six grandchildren, Michaela Millican, Joseph McCollum, Jr., Samantha Millican, Anabelle Greene, James Greene and Amelia Greene; one sister, Retha Chappell of Richmond, MO; two brothers, Dan Becker of Richmond, MO, and Greg Becker; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

Sondra was preceded in death by both her parents, and husband.
