Shirley Jean Scholle

Shirley Jean (Clark) Scholle, 85, of Buckner, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Jackson Creek Memory Care in Independence, Missouri.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Levasy, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to Ebenezer Cemetery Association. Shirley was born in Jackson County on October 4, 1939, to Cicero Weaver and Emma (Edwards) Clark. In 1957, she graduated from Fort Osage High School. 

Shirley worked many years as a rural carrier for the Postal Service in Buckner, Missouri eventually retiring from the Grain Valley post office. Shirley was united in marriage on January 24, 1959, to Fred Roy Scholle in Levasy, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2024. Shirley was an active member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Levasy, Missouri. She was a part of the Caring Christian Clowns. Along with spending time with family and friends, Shirley enjoyed traveling especially to Poland, biking and running. 

Shirley is survived by her two children, Kenneth (Michelle) Scholle of Odessa, MO, and Glen Scholle of Affton, MO; four grandchildren, Jacob (Kimberly) Scholle, Nicolas Scholle, Erika Scholle, and August Scholle; two great grandchildren, Eliza Scholle and Nolan Scholle; one sister, Linda Cooper and many relatives, and friends. 

Along with both parents and her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Shropshire, Vada Winfrey, Esther Cooper; four brothers, Carl Clark, Tom Clark, George Clark, and Bill Clark.
