Shirley J. Hotmer, 70, of Odessa, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at KU Medical Center.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. George Catholic Church, Odessa. Visitation for Shirley will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am at St. George Catholic church on Tuesday also. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery, Odessa, MO. Memorials for Shirley may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation or to St. Jude's Children's hospital.
Shirley Jean Smith was born on November 3, 1945 in Wellington, MO. to William and Eileen Potter Smith. She married John Hotmer on April 3, 1964 in Odessa, MO.
Shirley was a member of St. George Catholic Church and had been a homemaker.
Shirley is survived by her husband, John of the home, two daughters, Tamara Hotmer, Liberty, MO. And Teresa Hotmer, Odessa. Also surviving are two sisters, Judith, L. DeFoe, Odessa, and Susan Kanak and husband, Steve, Blue Springs, MO.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Nathan Hotmer Rector.
