Shirley Jean Cowick, 72, of Lexington passed away March 8, 2021 at her home. Memories and condolences may be left at
www.LedfordFamilyFH.com. A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:00 am. Burial will be in Oak Hills Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Shirley was born September 4, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles and Delores (Michaels) Dunn. She worked as a nurse and a cook for many years and retired from S and K Industries. On August 16, 1997 she married Ronald Cowick in Wellington. She enjoyed cooking and her family, expecially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of the home; children, Allen McKinney of Lexington, Donna Williams of Lexington and Chester Milliken of Liberty; grandchildren, Tim McKinney and wife Amanda of Lexington, Amanda Taylor of Lexington, Ashley McKinney of Kansas City, Sarah Birch and husband Bradley of Butler, Brandon McKinney and wife Ashlin of Excelsior Springs and Rochelle Coble of Edwardsville, Kansas; 13 great grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Perrigo of Bakersfield, California and Betty Dankenbring and husband Donnie of Waverly.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sue Sliger; brothers, Charles Dunn, Pat Dunn and Richard Dunn; and grandsons, Chris Taylor and Jacob Etheridge.
