Sherry Sue Dade

Sherry Sue (Shepherd) Dade, 61 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday August 21, 2016 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, Missouri, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial with Military Rites will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Sherry was born on January 10, 1955 in Jackson County, MO to Glenn D. Shepherd and Dolores Jean (Comstock) Shepherd. She graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence, MO. Sherry also attended the National College and Del Mar College. Sherry was a Veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharged on May 7, 1979. On August 20, 1983 she married Robert Lee Dade in North Kansas City, MO, who survives of the home. She attended the First Assembly of God in Odessa, MO. Sherry retired from the (INS) Immigration Nationalization Services in Kansas City, MO. She was a Boy Scout Adult Leader and an Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Sherry enjoyed crafts, going to the lake, square dancing, collecting cows and was an avid cat and dog lover.

In addition to her husband and mother, Sherry is survived by her two sons, Seth Dade of Odessa, MO and Andrew Dade of Odessa, MO; a brother Michael David Shepherd of Higginsville, MO; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Fangmann and husband Glen of Oak Grove, MO.

In addition to her father Glenn, Sherry was preceded in death by a son Glenn James Dade and a brother Scott Jeffrey Shepherd.
