Shelly Lynn Keehler

Shelly (Babcock) Keehler, 51, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.

Shelly was born March 17, 1972, to Dewey and Barbara (Brooks) Babcock. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri. Shelly also received her associates degree in English from Vatterott College. Shelly worked for Kmart and Walmart in customer service while raising her loving family. Along with spending time with family and friends, Shelly was an avid reader, jokester with her family, watching tv, and listening to heavy rock like Iron Maiden.    

Shelly is survived by her two children, Lacey Babcock and Fiancé Mathew Plubell and Katana Schmidt; three grandchildren, Damien Babcock, Alexander Plubell, and Bradley Miller; one sister, Donna; two brothers, Donald McAlister and Dewey Babcock, Jr.; one nephew, Brandon McAlister and many relative and friends.   

Along with both her parents, Shelly was preceded in death by two children, Jason Babcock and Alisha Keehler.
