Sharon Kay Kleoppel, 60, of Grain Valley, Missouri, formerly of Odessa, MO, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, at her home.
A visitation will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd Street, Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at St. George Catholic Church, 716 S 3rd St, Odessa, MO, 64076. An inurnment will follow in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. John LaLande Catholic Church of Blue Springs and may be left in care of the funeral home. Sharon was born on August 20, 1960, to Joseph Henry and Laverne Henrietta (Moenkhoff) Kleoppel in Independence, MO. After graduating from Odessa High School in 1978, she remained active in playing softball, volleyball, and basketball. Sharon worked at Feldman’s in Odessa and Blue Springs before going to work at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Independence for over 20 years. She was a member of the St. John LaLande Catholic Church of Blue Springs, MO. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Sharon enjoyed going to the lake.
Sharon is survived by three sisters, Sheila Kleoppel of Independence, MO, Kathy Hyden (Hal) of Kansas City, MO, and Karen Cosgrove (Charles) of Blue Springs, MO; six brothers, Joey Kleoppel (Jannie), Mark Kleoppel (Tammy), Greg Kleoppel, Tim “Fish” Kleoppel (Jenny), Pat “Burrhead” Kleoppel (Becky), and Gary Kleoppel (Allison), all of Odessa, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, and many relatives and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents.
