SHARON KAY WELCH Sharon Kay Welch, 72, of Lexington, MO passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Riverbend Heights Health & Rehabilitation in Lexington. Sharon Kay Fairchild was born August 13, 1941 in Higginsville, MO, to Orlando Charles and Alta Emogene Williams Fairchild. She married Robert Lee �Bob� Welch on August 19, 1970 in Oklahoma. Kay was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lexington First Baptist Church. Kay is survived by a daughter, Terrie Day and husband,Danny, of Lexington, Mo. Two grandchildren, Nathan Day of Lexington and Tara Whitham and husband, David, of Republic, MO. Three great- grandchildren: Gabriel, McKenzie, and Elizabeth. A brother, Jessie Wayne Fairchild and wife, Donna, Napoleon and a sister, Jody Rudy, Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Charles Fairchild and a sister, Norma Jean Thompson. Services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO. Burial in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m, Wednesday, June 11 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice of Kansas City.
