Sharon Kay (Houk) Jones, 73 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, November 04, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Bland-Brumback Funeral Home, 306 S. High St., Stockton, MO, 65785, 417-276-4214, with Reverend Leo Keller officiating. Burial will be in the Alder Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church or Midwest Transplant Network. Sharon was born on December 10, 1942 in Humansville, MO to Russell and Beulah (Burchett) Houk. She graduated from Humansville High School in 1960. On October 27, 1967 she married Billy “Bill” Mac Jones in Kansas City, MO. Sharon was a member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Humansville, MO. After 45 plus years in the grocery business, Sharon retired from Patricia’s Foods as the office manager. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Sharon enjoyed playing cards, traveling, gardening, and baking.

In addition to her husband Bill, Sharon is survived by three daughters, Becky Miser of Independence, MO, Cathy Sells of Springfield, MO and Teresa Fellers and husband Donnie of Flemington, MO; three grandchildren, Eric Sells and wife Kelli, Matt Miser and wife Lacy and Michael Fellers; one great grandson, Hunter Miser; two brothers, James Houk and wife Mary of Boliver, MO, Roy Houk and wife Sharlene of Stockton, MO; and two sisters, Betty Daniels of Humansville, MO and Helen Daniels of Stockton, MO; a sister-in-law, Esther Houk of Erie, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Rick Sells; a grandson, Daniel Sells; a brother Doyle Houk; and a brother-in-law, Denton Daniels.
