Sharon Kay Bartley, 71, of Warsaw, formerly of Lexington, passed away August 4, 2021 at her home. A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Inurnment will be in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery. Sharon was born June 20, 1950 at her home in Lexington to Thomas and Elizabeth (Jackson) Legate. She married James Bartley in 1970. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She was a career LPN, med tech, specializing in care for the elderly. She also cared very deeply for special needs children.
Sharon and James enjoyed traveling and lived in California before settling down and residing in Warsaw. She enjoyed camping and nature. Later in life she enjoyed garage sales, bingo and she adored spending time with her grandbabies.
Survivors include her children, Lori Lambert and husband Scott of Blue Springs, Chris Pointer of Lexington, Margaret Bartley of St. Louis and James Bartley and wife Christie of Warsaw; sister, Kelly Covey and husband Randy of Lexington; brothers, Tom Legate and wife Paula of Lexington, Steve Legate and wife Debbie of Richmond and Roger Legate and wife Jan of Topeka, Kansas; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
