Shamika Deann Moss

SHAMIKA DEANN MOSS Shamika Deann Moss, 30, of Lexington, MO passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Lafayette Regional Health Center. Shamika was born October 3, 1983, the daughter of David D. Moss and Mary Ann Skinner. She was a member of the Lexington First Baptist Church. Shamika graduated from Lexington High School and received her Associates Degree from Wentworth Military Academy. Shamika was also a Certified Nurses Aide and a Certified Medical Technician. Shamika received Academic Honors at Wentworth, she wrapped boxes for Operation Christmas Child at the First Baptist Church, and loved animals especially cats. Shamika is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Skinner, her father and step-mother, David Dean and Carol Moss, her maternal grandmother, Lulu Belle Morris, her fianc�, David E. Derringer, all of Lexington. Brothers: Toby Moss, Richmond, MO and Brett Moss, Higginsville, MO. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Angelique Moss, paternal grandmother, Addie Johnson, and maternal grandfathers, Bill Skinner and Harold Morris. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Lexington First Baptist Church. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the family.
