RUTH E. WAINSCOTT
Ruth E. Wainscott, 97, of Cheyenne Mountain Care, in Colorado Springs, CO died in her sleep on October 4, 2016.
Ruth was born near Boise, Idaho on October 23, 1918, daughter of Milles and Gertrude (Lambden) Rennick. The family moved near Mulvane, Kansas where Ruth was raised and graduated from Mulvane High School.
Ruth married Ned T. Wainscott on July 29, 1937 at Wichita Kansas. Ned preceded her in death on March 28, 2000 after more than 62 years of marriage. She was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church, and Lexington Eastern Star #248.
Two children were born to this union. Janice (Stevie) Tye, Colorado Springs, CO and Leannah Jean Collyar, Ottawa, KS. Also surviving are four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth will be cremated and a public grave side service will be held at 11:00 a.m., October 29, 2016 at Lexington Memory Gardens. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, 550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80906
