Catherine Delores Eldridge

Catherine Delores Eldridge, 82, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Odessa, MO surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday November 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenton Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be left at www.ralphojones.com or visit our page on Facebook. Delores was born on January 4, 1931 in Athens, Alabama to Murphy and Fannie (Bond) Buckelew. On August 5, 1961 she was united in marriage to Sherman Grant Eldridge in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2007. Delores worked for the Sunshine Biscuit Company located in the Fairfax District of Kansas City, MO for 22 years. After her retirement she was a full time homemaker. She and Sherman were members of the First Baptist Church of Odessa. Delores was a member of the Eastern Star for 25 plus years and was a member of the Star Club. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, canning, sewing, tending to her flowers, socializing, but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include two children, Kathy Logan and fianc� Steve Barker of Kansas City, MO and Ronnie Eldridge and wife Susan of Union Town, Kansas; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; three sisters, Yvonner Pitts, Faye Hill and Pauline Carter all of Athens, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Delores was preceded in death by a son Michael Davis in September of 2009; two brothers, Milford and T.W. Buckelew; and a sister, Zeola Carter. Pallbearers are, Derek Sanders, William Wade, Boston Sanders, Steve Barker, Barry Wade and Chase Wade.
