Ruby Mae Tempel Ruby Mae Tempel, 62, of Blue Springs, MO died Monday, July 19, 2010 at Shangri-la Re-Hab and Living Center in Blue Springs. Ruby Mae Whitaker was born February 29, 1948 in Lexington, MO the daughter of J.D. Whitaker and Catherine Jackson Whitaker. She married Wayne F. Tempel, Sr. She had worked as a housekeeper at the Medical Center of Independence and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving is her husband, Wayne, of the home. Two children: Sharon Tempel of Blue Springs and Wayne Tempel, II of Independence. One granddaughter, Madison Demprey. Her mother-in-law, Virginia Tempel, Higginsville. A brother, Thomas Griffith, and wife, Vonda, Blue Springs. Two nephews, Justin and Derek Griffith, Blue Springs. A brother-in-law, David Tempel and wife, Carol, Blue Springs and niece, Crystal, of Richmond. Preceding her in death was her parents and her father-in-law, Maurice Tempel. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO. Inurnment at Lexington Memory Gardens.
