Rose Marion Humphrey, 88, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in Concordia, MO surrounded by family.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO with Reverend Terry Hodges officiating. A Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Burial will take place at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Odessa Building Fund. Rose was born on July 28, 1926 in Overland Park, Kansas to Lawrence Burton and Marion Elizabeth (Cowles) Collins. She graduated from Fairview High School in Fairview, Oklahoma. On September 17, 1945 she was marred to Forrest Dale Humphrey. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2002. Rose was a homemaker spending her time taking care of the family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa. Rose was also a member of the Shaw Extension Club, Missouri State Rabbit Producers Association, Heart of America Satin Club of Kansas and the Midwest Trailblazer Rabbit Club of Missouri.

Survivors include seven children, Terry Humphrey and wife Penny of Knob Noster, MO, Johnny Humphrey of Odessa, MO, Leslie Humphrey and wife Mary of Bakersfield, California, Brian Humphrey of Odessa, MO, Mary Ziegler and husband Bob of Rodgers, Texas, Sandy Bransteitter and husband Alan of Odessa, MO and Vernon Humphrey and wife Geneva of Rockland, CA; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Earl Humphrey and two brothers, John and Jimmy Collins.

Pallbearers will be- Terry, Johnny, Leslie and Brian Humphrey, Alan Bransteitter and Aaron Ward

Honorary Pallbearers will be- Robert Ziegler, Bob Carpenter, David Ward III and Keith Humphrey
