Ronald Eugene Mason, 74, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at home surrounded by family.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the Second Baptist Church, 1201 Main St, Lexington, MO, 64067. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the church. Interment with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Memorials are suggested to VNA Hospice. Ronald was born on June 18, 1947, in Lexington, MO to Eugene H. and Lucille G. (Garvin) Mason. He graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, MO. On July 27, 1966, Ronald enlisted in the United States Army, while in the Army he earned the Good Conduct Medal and the Nation Defense Service Medal. In 1976 he was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Davis in Lexington, MO. They later divorced but remained friends. Ronald worked for many years at S&K Industries, then he went to Lake City Ammunitions for a short stent and retired from S&K Industries. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Ronald was an avid sports fan.
Ronald is survived by three children, Denise Wiggins of Towson Maryland, Brent Mason of Lexington, MO, and LaTasha Pettis of Lexington, MO; seven grandchildren, Anton Wiggins, Marquez Briscoe, Emrey Pettis, Ryker Mason, Shayla Kelly, Kendrik Mason, and Maklin Mason; one sister, Phyllis Mason of Lexington, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Mason; and four brothers, Donald R. Mason, Larry Thomas Mason, Clifford H. Mason, and David Mason.
