Ronald Perry Dunkeson, 75, of Centerview, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at home surrounded by family.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Odessa Cemetery in Odessa, MO with Reverend Sandy Feeler and Perry Dunkeson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Burial with military rites will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Oak Grove Historical Society or Gentiva Hospice. Perry was born on September 16, 1940 in Oak Grove, MO to Harry Alan and Roberta Nadyne (Perry) Dunkeson. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was Honorably Discharged as a Disabled American Veteran. On February 21, 1964 he married Gloria Jean (Cutshall) Dunkeson in Oak Grove, MO. Perry worked for the City of Independence, MO as a Pump Mechanic for the Rock Creek Pump Station. He was a member of the American Legion Matthews-Crawford Post 131 in Warrensburg, MO. He was a member of the Antique Machinery Association, founding member of the Lee’s Summit Underwater Rescue, Lieutenant for the Oak Grove Fire Department, Living History Civil War era Reenactment, and the Sni-Valley Antique Machinery Association. In addition to spending time with his family and friends he enjoyed building mini vintage buildings.

In addition to his wife Gloria, Perry is survived by three children, Karen Diane Pyles of Grain Valley, MO, Perry Dean Dunkeson and wife Leesha of Warrensburg, MO and Kelly Dawn Dunkeson of Centerview, MO; five grandchildren, Craig Pyles, Randy Pyles, Joshua Bunn, Levi Perry Dunkeson and Emily Leighann Dunkeson; six great grandchildren, Steven Perry David Pyles, Autumn Rose Pyles, Ann Marie Pyles, Baylee Bunn, Bentlee Bunn and Riker Pyles.

In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by a loving grandson, David Bunn and a brother, Gary Alan Dunkeson.
