Ronald Lynn Baker

Funeral services for Ronald L. Baker, Independence, Mo will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Odessa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday also at the church from 1:30 until service time. Burial will be at the Odessa Cemetery a later date. Memorials for Ron Baker may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Mr. Baker died on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at his home after battling cancer and heart disease for many years.

Ronald Lynn Baker was born on July 25, 1939 along with his twin brother, Donald, to Preston and Laura Holloway Baker. Ron was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was an industrial engineer and had worked at Kenworth Trucking. He loved to work in his garden and yard, watch sports on TV and spend time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Julie Ensor and husband, Wade, Blue Springs, Mo; Valerie Saye, Independence, MO; and Melissa Spotts and husband, Mike, Blue Springs, MO. There are 6 grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Delores Struchtemeyer and husband, Henry, Mayview, MO. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, his twin, Donald Baker, Robert Baker, and Dean Baker.
