Roger Paul Weddle, 90, of Lexington, Missouri passed away May 5, 2024 at Meyer Care Center, Higginsville, Missouri.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Trinity United Church of Christ, Lexington. A funeral service will follow on Thursday at the church at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, Missouri. Roger was born April 26, 1934 in Buckner, Missouri to John Guy and Ida Sue (McMillin) Weddle. He graduated from Buckner High School and served in the Missouri National Guard. He married Betty Ann Long Schwermer Berry on February 14, 2003. Roger was a dairy and grain farmer and family and farming were the most important things to him. He also enjoyed country music and traveling. Roger was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Roger is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; children, Katona Weddle (James Weaver) of Wetumpka, Alabama, Barbara Sphar of Maumelle, Arkansas, Dale Schwermer (Melody) of Peoria, Arizona, Cheryl Ensor (Marty) of Lexington and Billy Ray Schwermer (Kathi) of Milbrooke, Alabama; grandchildren, Paul Bradley Mulholland (Tracy), Valerie Redmond-Mulholland (Melanie), Tonya Shelton (Rick), Cheryl Swindell, Dianna Pedigo, Lisa Savory (David), Carole Waldron, Marty Schwermer, Jason Schwermer (Jamie), Sunny Hackler (Chris), Erica Borgman (Matt), Zach Schwermer (Sarah) and Austen Schwermer (Jenna) and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wives, Naomi (Webb) Weddle and Jean (Underwood) Weddle; a daughter, Patricia Williams; and a brother, Harry Weddle.
