Michael Dean Ray, 53, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 5, 2013 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the McKendree Cemetery. www.ralphojones.com. Michael was born on July 10, 1960 in Appleton City, MO to Marion Oakley and Shirley Maxine (Oehring) Ray. He was a 1979 graduate of Appleton City High School. On December 28, 1987 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Jane (Hopkins) Ray, they later divorced. Michael spent most of his life as a Truck Driver and owned and operated Rays Trucking. His hobbies include farming, raising cattle and fishing. When Michael was not farming or trucking he could be found helping his father cutting timber, riding his motorcycle or playing with his grandson. In addition to his father, Michael is survived by two children, Justin Thomas Ray of Higginsville, MO and Elizabeth Michelle Noser and husband Alexander of Kansas City, MO; one grandson, Holden Ray Noser; three brothers, Dennis J. Ray and wife Debbie of Appleton City, MO, Randy Ray and wife Barb of Plattsmouth, Nebraska and Kenneth Zinn; two sisters, Kathy L. Cravens and husband Jerry of Butler, MO and Lisa Ray of Golden, Colorado. Michael was preceded in death by his mother.
