Roena Faye (Rice) Keim

Roena Faye (Rice) Keim, 83 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at home.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Odessa Church of Christ, 210 N. 4^th St., Odessa, MO, 64076.  A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the church.  Interment will be in the Louisburg Cemetery in Louisburg, MO.  Memorials are suggested to the Odessa Church of Christ.  Memories of Roena and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or our Facebook Page.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ralph O. Roena was born on October 20, 1939, in Springfield, MO to Roy and Cledith (Sullivan) Rice.  She graduated from Buffalo High School in Buffalo, MO.  Roena earned her degree in education from Springfield State University in Springfield, MO.  On May 28, 1961, Roena was united in marriage to Lyle Eugene Keim in Louisburg, MO.  Roena was a teacher in Houston, MO and Salem, MO, where she taught English, drama, and debate.  She was a member of the Odessa Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School and Ladies Bible Class for many years.  Roena also taught at various churches and group functions. She was a substitute teacher and a member of the Shaw Club in Odessa.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Roena enjoyed traveling locally and internationally, crafting, cooking, and gardening. 

Roena is survived by her husband Lyle Keim of Odessa, MO; four children, Les Keim (Carol) of Odessa, MO, Ramona Keim Legate (Mike) of Odessa, MO, Kurt Keim (Alexis) of Shawnee, KS, and Kris Keim (Jamie) of Little Rock, AR; eleven grandchildren, Logan Keim (Jordan) of North Carolina, Lindsey Hedrick (Lance) of Porto, Portugal, Aaron Perrine (fiancé Mary Bain) of Blue Springs, MO, Austin Perrine of Higginsville, MO, Alex Perrine of Higginsville, MO, Isabel Keim and Addison Keim of Shawnee, KS, and Hannah Keim, Lincoln Keim, Layton Keim, and Ledger Keim all of Little Rock, AR; two great-grandchildren, Roman Hedrick and Soren Hedrick;  one sister, Bondena Barclay (Ronnie) of Tunas, MO; and many relatives and friends. 

Roena was preceded in death by her parents.
