Robin Edward “Bob” Lightfoot, 73, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday October 21, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, 100 W. State Hwy OO, Odessa, MO, 64076 with Reverend Terry Hodges officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday October 20, 2016 at the church. Inurnment with Military Rites will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday October 21, 2016 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund. Memories of Bob and condolences to the family may be left at www.ralphojones.com or on our Facebook Page.

Bob was born on May 30, 1943 in Boonville, MO to Robin Edward Lightfoot, Jr. and Noreen Virginia (Eatherton) Lightfoot. He graduated in 1961 from Slater High School. He enlisted in the United States Army on July 24, 1962 until being Honorably Discharged on July 20, 1965. He served in the Vietnam War and also earned the Expert Rifle, Expert Marksman, Class Gunner Medal, Armed Forces Expedition Medal, and the Air Medal with Four Oak Leaf Clusters. He married Harriet Lee (Hanner) Lightfoot on April 16, 1963 in Columbus, Georgia, she survives of the home. Bob retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrol after 20 years of service. He was a Commercial Vehicle Officer. Bob was a member of the First Baptist Church in Odessa, VFW Life Member of Post 4367, American Legion Post 78 in Slater, MO, South Fork Regulators Cowboy Action Group, Harley Owners Group, past member of the Goodtimes Oldies Car Club. Bob was a board member of the Odessa Clothes Closet. He had a passion for cars, airplanes, and motorcycles. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Bob had a private pilot license and loved riding motorcycles.

Bob is survived by his wife Harriet Lightfoot, Odessa, MO; a son, Robin Lightfoot and wife Erica of Mexico, MO; four grandchildren, Ethan Lightfoot of Portland, Oregon, Aaron Lightfoot of Warrensburg, MO, Gage Gilmore of Mexico, MO and Hope Reeves of Higginsville, MO; two brothers, Harry Lightfoot and wife Vickie of Slater, MO and David Lightfoot and wife Janet of Aurora, MO; a sister, Susan Feuers and husband Ritchie of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
