Robert Kent Potter, 64, of Lexington passed away May 2, 2019 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Funeral service will Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 1:00 pm at St. Luke Evangelical Free Church, Wellington. Burial will be in St. Luke's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Luke Evangelical Free Church.
Kent was born June 15, 1954 in Lexington to Robert and Mona Lou (Wilson) Potter. He graduated from Wellington Napoleon High School and worked in construction and for the Lafayette County Road and Bridge District. He married Cathie Joan Turner April 8, 1983 in Wellington. Kent was a member of St. Luke's Church and loved rebuilding tractors and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include, his wife, Cathie Potter, of the home; sons, Eric Potter and wife Jen of Excelsior Springs, Bobby Potter and wife Bethany of Imperial, Missouri, Chad Potter of Independence, Kenny Potter and wife Jan of Windsor and Chris Potter and wife Amber of Lexington; sister, Connie Gossey and husband Doug of Buckner; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
