Robert “Bob” Allen Woody, 71, of Odessa, MO passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 s. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held two hours prior from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. Memorials are suggested to the Boy Scout Troop 713, Wellington or Boy Scout Troop 611, Lexington. Condolences for the family may be left at www.ralphojones.com or on our Facebook Page.
Bob was born on December 12, 1944 in Independence, MO the son of Robert Albert and Frances Myrtle Woody. He graduated from William Chrisman High School. Bob was a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired from General Motors in 1997 after 30 years of service. Bob was involved with Boy Scouts for many years. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, he loved gardening, fishing, and woodworking.
Bob is survived by his wife Kay Woody of Odessa, MO; Siblings, Barbara Swope of Odessa, MO, Dr. Charles Woody and wife Cheryl of Princeton, KY, Major (Ret.) Carl Woody and wife Sue of Manteo, NC, and Linda Breazeale and husband Bob of Blue Springs, MO; children, Julie Webb and husband Richard of Lexington, MO, Rebecca Triantaflos and husband Adam of Ovid MI, Walt Webb and wife Julia of Buffalo, MO and James Woody and wife Patricia of Odessa, MO; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
