Robert Lee Bartley, Sr., 77, of Lexington, MO passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at his home. Robert Bartley, was born April 30, 1934 in Dover, MO, the son of Clement Lee and Hazel E. Evans Bartley. He married Wanda Curry on September 9, 1956 at Waverly, MO. Mr. Bartley worked at Armco Steel for 43 years before retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Lexington Moose Lodge. Mr. Bartley is survived by his wife, Wanda, of the home. Three children: Robert L. Bartley, Jr. of Belton, MO, Julie L. Bartley and Kali Benedick and husband, Frank, of Lexington. A granddaughter, Melissa Garrett and four great-grandchildren: Jonathon, Kristopher, Sean, and Serinity. A brother, Don Bartley, Lexington; three sisters: Betty Jo LoPorto, Kansas City, MO, Wilma Barnes, Highland, CA, and Billie Ann Strutton, Richland, MO. He was preceded in death by brothers, Forrest Bartley and J.E. Bartley, and sisters, Loretta Rockhold, Florence Foraker, and Gloria Howard. Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial in Lexington Memory Gardens. Visitation from 10 till service time on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to C.A.R. (Cancer Assistance Relief).
