Robert "Bobby" Backs

Robert “Bobby” Backs Memorial services for Bobby Backs will be held on Wednesday, September 2 at 10:00 am At the Lexington United Methodist Church. Visitation for Bobby Backs will be held at the church on Tuesday September 1, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Lexington United Methodist Church music department, the Lexington V.F. W or the Lexington High School Music program. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lexington, Mo. Bobby passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Robert “Bobby” Forrest Backs was born on August 24, 1952 in Lexington to Forrest and Joan Giorza Backs. Bob had worked as an accountant for the Railroad Salvage Materials, Inc. Previously Bobby had worked at B & L Bank, Evans Equipment, Boatman’s Bank and Lafayette County Bank. He had also been the owner/operator of his own company, Lex-Pay. He married Jana Dickmeyer on February 24, 1981 in Raytown, MO. Bobby had been a member of the Lexington United Methodist Church and choir. He was also past treasurer for the church. He was past president of the Lexington Rotary club, a past member of the Lexington V.F.W. Auxiliary. He was an Eagle Scout and belonged to the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Survivors include his wife, Jana of the home. A daughter Jessica Backs, Lexington. A brother, Randy Backs, Lexington. Also surviving are nieces, Nicole Backs, Stefania Backs, Cosmina Backs and a nephew, Stephen Backs. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy.
