Richard "Dick" Austin Riggle, 80, of Lexington passed away April 14, 2021 at his home. Visitation will be Monday, April 19, 2021 at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home from 10:30 until 11:30 am. A funeral service will also be on Monday at the funeral home at 11:30 am. Private family burial with Military Honors will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. Dick was born November 7, 1940 in Omaha, Nebraska to Glenn and Blanche (Palm) Riggle. He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1958 and attended trade school. He served in the United States Army. On February 24, 1968 he married Nancy Oles. He worked as a sprinkler fitter and was a member of Local Union 314, Kansas City. Dick was an avid Chiefs fan and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, auctions, flea markets and trips to Truman Lake.
Survivors include his wife of the home; children, Carol Lynn Hansen of Lexington, William Michael Eastridge and wife Deborah of Lexington, Jacque Ann Liese and husband Michael of Lexington, Catherine Irene McGrath and husband Jeff of Lexington and Teresa Michelle Kavanaugh and husband Shawn of Shawnee; brothers, Charles Riggle and wife Maxine of Beaver Lake, Arkansas and Robert Riggle and wife Sandy of Bunceton, Missouri; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donna Lee Lehmkuhl.
