Richard A. Petsch, 83, of Lexington, passed away on December 29, 2010 at Shirkey Nursing Home in Richmond, MO. Dick was born in East St. Louis on June 7, 1927. His parents were Karl F. and Ida Mae (Rees) Petsch, Sr. He was raised in Staten Island, NY and Metuchen, NJ. He graduated high school from Rutgers Preparatory School in absentia due to enlistment in the US Navy. In 1948 he married Dorothy E. Wilson and they had five children. The family came to Lexington, MO in 1966 where Dick built their home on farmland he and his brother had purchased. After the move he found employment at what was Johnson County Memorial Hospital in Warrensburg, MO and retired after 15 years as Administrator. He then bought a travel agency and he and Dorothy enjoyed many travels. Dicks brother, Karl F. Petsch, Jr. and his parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 62 years of the home and children, Kathy (Rob) Frazier, Linda (Steve) Dees, Susan (Jeff) McAllister, Richard R. (Charlene) Petsch, and Jamie Rigden. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and one great grandson. Services will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Interment in Lexington Memory Gardens. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Richard A.
