Rhonda Kay Farmer, 61 of Bates City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Lafayette County Cancer Coalition. Rhonda was born April 12, 1954 in Pittsfield, Illinois to Alphia “Buck†Dale and Helen F. (Crowder) Robinson. She graduated from Ft. Osage High School in 1972. Rhonda worked as a Secretary for the Veterans Administration for 15 plus years before retiring. On July 3, 1994 she married Robert “Bob†Eugene Farmer in Bates City, MO. In addition to spending time with her family and friends she enjoyed art, animals, crossword puzzles, music, traveling the United States with her husband Bob and the holidays, especially Christmas.
In addition to her husband Bob and mother Helen, Rhonda is survived by four children, Sherry Starnes-Scrivener and husband Terry of Leeton, MO, Lonnie Farmer and wife Quiana of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Jessica Starnes of Hoyt, KS and Janet Jones and husband D.J. of Lee’s Summit, MO; eleven grandchildren; and a sister Debbie Robinson-Gilmore and husband Dennis of Buckner, MO.
In addition to her father, Rhonda was preceded in death by two brothers in infancy.
